Thank you for your commitment to your children’s religious education.  YOU are our parish family and we are happy to invite you in more deeply through the Religious Education program.  Our hope is that your involvement would not only be an authentic participation in the life of the Church but that we would be of service to Christ, and your family, in everything that we do.  Here at St. William we are excited to participate in the faith journey of your children!

After your child is baptized, the next most important steps and milestones in their life as a Catholic are the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Communion, then onward to the Sacrament of Confirmation.  Typically, at St. William, children make their First Communion in their second grade year.  Confirmation is now being made in their high school years.   The preparation for these Sacraments is received through our Children’s Religious Education (CREED) program for Kindergarten to Eight Grade students. These Classes are held Sundays, from 9am to 10:15am, in the Parish Hall.

Eight grade students begin their preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation while in their final year of the CREED program and into their first year (ninth grade) as active participants in our Catholics in Action (CIA) Youth Group.

Catholics in Action (CIA) Youth Group is for high school students 9th to 12th grade.  Our teens meet after the 10:30am Mass in Room 9 (Teen Room) of the Parish Hall, to encourage teenagers through friendship, fellowship and fun to continue on their faith journey with their families and friend into adulthood.  (Ninth grader students will have separate Confirmation prep classes.)

The below registration form may be downloaded and completed at home.  It may also be filled out online and email to the DRE, or brought to the church office.  Additional forms are available from the offices in the parish hall.

PLEASE NOTE THAT FOR FIRST COMMUNION (2nd Grade) AND CONFIRMATION (9th+ Grade)
THE DIOCESE REQUIRES TWO YEARS OF ATTENDANCE IN THE PROGRAM.

If your child(ren) attend St. Francis Xavier Catholic School the Sacramental Pledge of Commitment for SFX Families
must be completed and turned into the DRE by September 1 or the first day of Religious Education class.
