We extend our deepest condolences to you and your family. The St. William community joins you in prayer for the repose of the soul of your loved one. A Catholic funeral Mass can offer comfort and hope for the future, as our faith teaches us that death is not the end.
Funerals are celebrated at St. William on weekdays, Monday thru Thursday, usually at 10 or 11 a.m. Please contact the church office at (912) 638-2647 to schedule a service.
We will also schedule a meeting with you to assist in planning the service, and will coordinate with your funeral home director as needed. If you would like to prepare in advance of the planning meeting, the office can lend you a copy of Through Death to Life by Joseph M. Champlin, which is used to guide you in the selection of scripture readings. We also provide you with a list of suggested hymns.
Funeral services may be live streamed at the request of the family. There is a fee for streaming services.
A reception may be offered at the church, pending availability of the parish hall. The Bereavement Committee can provide a limited selection of refreshments. If you would like to offer more substantial refreshments, catering is permitted and members of the Bereavement Committee can be on hand to assist.
